We have recently moved to a paid colocation facility with redundant power and internet. These services are not cheap, and we have to at least attempt to try to lessen the cost in our pockets for providing services. The $5USD one-time charge for the basic account does not apply to the other 2 plans.

Terms of Service

By proceeding to create an account, you agree to not willingly or unwillingly perform any of the following:

• Use P2P (Peer-to-Peer) technologies.
• Abuse and/or spam any of the services provided.
• Launch IRC or other bots without expressed permission from an admin.
  • Typically filing a ticket with us letting us know where the bot is communicating is enough for us to allow.
• Attack, Hack, or otherwise compromise the server and/or it's users.
• Use CUGNet as a launching platform for attacking other servers and/or services.
  • The Exception to this would be the Hacklab.

If it has been determined that any of these have been broken, the user's account will be suspended and the user notified of the suspension. The user will then have ten (10) days to open meaningful dialog with an admin in an effort to explain and correct the issue, or the account will be permanently deleted and all content in the user's home directory deleted.
